my adventures for the day... tally-ho

my day began with my mother and father both coming down at different times (not quite sure when because i was really dreading looking at the clock) you see, last night was a rather later night, you ask why? well because i had this urge to write a poem at 12:30 in the morning. anyways back to my parents. the came down exclaiming that i was going to be late if i didn't get up soon. my mother also mentioned to me that we needed to leave a little bit earlier so that my little brother could talk to his chemistry teacher before his test in first period. barely awake i made my way to the bathroom and splashed cold water on my face to revive me from that drowsy state. i quickly had a bit of toast (with berry jam, mind you this berry jam was raspberry, black berry, and strawberry!) after my nutritious breakfast i dashed down the stairs to put on make-up and glanced in the mirror know that it was one of those days in which i HAD to wash my hair. so worrying about being on time, but yet not fully awake i tried to hurry but only ended up getting it washed before my mother's cry of "sara! let's go!" came from up the stairs. to my dismay i looked in the mirror made a grimacing face -if we were in person i'd show you, i'm good at it ;) - with my hair wrapped in a towel on top of my head. i'll tell you how hot that looked! wow, so quickly i brushed through the mangled mess and whipped it up into a ponytail thinking to myself that i'd make a mad dash for the bathroom as soon as we arrived at the school. who knows what clothes i threw on- whatever was quickest- and then i hoped up the stairs carrying all my books and homework while trying to shove my shoe on my foot. i nabbed my lunch from off the kitchen table slammed the door behind me hoping that i hadn't left or dropped anything long the way. i jumped into the family van and looked down to see that my shirt was ski-wamp-ess and straightened it the best i could. then i attempted to do a messy bun- be decided that it would have to wait until i reached the school. we made it there in good time- we had 10 minutes to go before school started, i figured that was plenty of time to ask the few questions that he had- but as he headed down the hall i made a mad dash for the most convenient bathroom. it took a couple of tries before i was even semi satisfied with the dripping mess on the back of my head, but i soon decided that i really didn't even care. hoping to make it to my locker before my first class i left the bathroom and headed down the hall. but wait! there stood my little brother with a pack of his friends.... i went over to him and asked him if he had already asked his teacher the questions. his feeble reply was, "i don't even know what mom was thinking. i just told her that i had a test. why she thought i needed to ask mrs. snow questions i'll never know." what i exclaimed?!

tragic i know! however this is the end of my tale of a speratic morning in my life, but mind you it was only the beginning of a very long day.

hahaha. Half of me is laughing at mom, and the other half is laughing at how much it threw you off to be 10 early. But I feel ya, sis. Those 10 minutes are miracle-makers! Hello, my pre-church dash every week?
